Sorry ... but, it makes me think of the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

Not bad uu4077,
It is indeed a group of victorious German olympians in leather boots. The fuchsia podium and gold rings also adds a touch of "Cabaret" (Hat band in Mein Herr and dress in the song Cabaret) to complete the 1930's feel.
