"... no whore like an old whore." (Updated)

That Mulroney quote came to mind when Josée Legault broke the news about Lucien Bouchard accepting the role of Head Salesman Chief spokesman for the oil and gas industry in Québec.

From press release:
Knowing the work that remains ahead, I am glad to see a man of Lucien Bouchard's calibre pick up the mantle. I know that he will be able to rally Quebecers around this wealth-creating project," stated outgoing QOGA President André Caillé.

Ah yes. The new buzz-word is "wealth-creating" though it's not clear who exactly will benefit from this about-to-be-created, in gestation one might say, wealth besides the gas companies' shareholders.

Though the regulations regarding sollicitation have been challenged in Ontario, aren't those provisions in the Criminal Code still being enforced on the eastern shores of the Outaouais?

Update: Bouchard's honorarium to act as promoter/apologist for the QOGA will be paid by Alberta's Talisman Energy Inc. it was reported.

Just in case the name Talisman Energy Inc. rings a bell, here's the 411. When should we expect an opus to equal Ezrant's, on "Ethical Gas"?

"Wealth creation" through the "ethical" exploitation of resources... when will the public buy a freaking clue already. That wealth is going straight into the pockets of 1% of the corporate elite with maybe some modest increases for the next 24% who can afford to gamble on the stock market.
