Leaving aside the fact that those unfun boycotts and protests produced some significant advancements for lesbians and gay men - WTF?
Self-professed, eh? C'mon, you didn't really expect Coulter to refer to herself as the Republican Renée Richards?
So, what's next? Which other loathsome fundie, zealot or political figure will be recast in the name of 'fun'? How about Karl Rove: the 'right-wing Truman Capote'? Condaleezza Rice as the 'rightwing Whoopie Goldberg'?

Dee Snider would have been a more appropriate choice for Coulter.
"Fun" means getting stupid drunk and making fun of blacks, women, gays, Muslims, ... er, scratch that: For "homocon" the Repugnicans won't make fun of gays.
That'll be for their fellow party-members at other "fun" events.
I've always maintained that gay and conservative equals confused.
GOProud is all about publicity, in the style of NOM & AFA, and Coulter probably needs the cash. She hasn't been heard from in a while and I have no doubt she will hate anyone you pay her to. She's a total media whore, and so is GOProud, they deserve each other.
It's a bit like hiring a 21st century version of an old, dying Vaudville act.
Dee Snider - I had to look that suggestion up, but yes, a good choice to play Coulter (or vice-versa).
The name "Dee Snider" brings back memories of the PMRC Senate hearings. Remember the paranoia about "backward masking" that was causing young & impressionable minds to be taken over by satanic forces via popular songs? Remember how Cyndy Lauper was the root of all evil? Remember how "music" was corrupting family values?
What I do remember is that Dee Snider and Frank Zappa were voices of logic during that modern-day witch hunt.
